Funding Information
Bergen County schools are eligible to receive a grant up to $1,000.
Eligibility Requirements
- In order to be eligible, your school must have a functioning recycling program in place, or use this grant to implement a recycling program in your school. No exceptions will be made to this requirement.
- Each school may only receive one grant. You may submit more than one, but only one grant will be awarded per school.
- All programs must be long term and contain an educational component. Short term projects, such as assemblies, field trips, on day recycling fairs can enhance a program; however, they are not acceptable as the project’s main goal (no exceptions).
- Provide a brief lesson plan. Failure to do so will result in the application not being considered.
- All applications should be received in typed format. No handwritten entries will be accepted.
- All public and private elementary and high schools throughout Bergen County are invited to participate.
- Please do not submit the same program from a previous year. You may enhance your original program, but a grant will be disqualified if the original idea is duplicated.
- If you are a past recipient and have not completed a BCUA Reporting Form, you will not be eligible for future grants.
