kNot Today is consolidating its two annual grant cycles into a single, streamlined funding opportunity: the Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Grant. Through this unified cycle, kNot Today aims to be a responsive and flexible funding partner, helping organizations fill critical gaps that limit the reach and effectiveness of child sexual abuse (CSA) prevention efforts.
Eligible Projects
- kNot Today supports CSA prevention services within the following categories:
- Awareness Activities (Examples include: Tabling at events, social media campaigns, fundraising events, community engagements, film screenings)
- Adult Education (Examples include: Training parents/caregivers, school personnel, youth-serving professionals, etc. on CSA prevention)
- Child/Youth Education (Examples include: Abuse prevention programs in schools, after school, for sports teams, or for youth in clubs, etc.)
- Child Safeguarding Policy (Examples include: Creation/revision of safeguarding policy for youth-serving organizations, providing policy technical assistance, toolkits or guidance.)
- Legislative Advocacy (Examples include: Meeting with policymakers, providing expert testimony to inform legislation to protect children, support or monitor prevention-related bills)
- Perpetration Prevention (Examples include: Providing referrals or services for youth/adults at-risk of offending)
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a member of the Indiana Prevention Education Coalition or Prevent First North Carolina.
- Maintain a completed organizational profile on The Bridge and commit to submitting prevention service data as well as an impact story. (This will be considered your grant report.)
- Hold current 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status as recognized by the Internal Revenue Service.
- Spend no more than 5% of the organization’s budget on legislative involvement.
- If faith-based, clearly describe whether and how religious beliefs are integrated into the proposed project.
- Maintain a current child safeguarding policy. (Please let us know if you need assistance in creating or reviewing a policy.)
