- Neighborhood Block Party Support Grants (up to $200)
- Creating inclusive, social opportunities for neighbors to come together is one way neighborhoods become engaged and more resilient

- The desired outcome of this grant is to create a memorable day or night where neighbors benefit from time spent together in a public space
- Grants are reimbursed after the event is completed
- Alternative reimbursement plans available for financial hardship

- Neighborhood Project Grants (up to $3,000)
- Every neighborhood deserves a great community space and one that residents can take ownership of and make their own: a front porch where you get together on warm evenings, a local park where pets greet each other or a neighborhood garden where hellos are shared
- Funds improvements to community spaces that foster connection, sustainability and resilience
- Can support City-owned property improvements or public gathering spaces.
- Grants are reimbursed after project completion
- Alternative reimbursement plans available for financial hardship.

Who may apply?
Neighborhoods enrolled in the City’s Neighbors Connected Program are eligible. Neighborhoods that received a Neighborhood Experience Grant or Neighborhood Project Grant in the previous year are only eligible for a Neighborhood Block Party Support Grant.
Successful projects will demonstrate:
- Connection
- Provide welcoming and inclusive gathering spaces and opportunities for neighbors to celebrate one another, grow social networks and reduce social isolation.
- Sustainability
- Become an active partner in making Arvada a vibrant and sustainable community by demonstrating a commitment to environmental stewardship, resource conservation and community vitality.
- Resilience
- Grow and expand your neighborhood’s ability to respond, adapt and recover from disruption. A resilient neighborhood is one that is able to survive and thrive after a shock or stressor such as a natural disaster, water shortage or economic downturn.
