The ACTIVATE. CONNECT. TRANSFORM. (ACT) grants are designed to help neighborhood associations in Boise, Idaho, fund smaller projects and events. These can include neighborhood clean-ups, block parties, and communication efforts to engage residents.
Grants range from $1,000 to $10,000, with a maximum award of $2,500 per association each fiscal year, which runs from October 1 to September 30. The grant duration is one year.
Funding is available in three categories: Community Service, Celebration, and Communication. Community Service projects focus on visible neighborhood improvements such as clean-ups, beautification, murals, and sign maintenance. Celebration grants support events like National Night Out, picnics, block parties, and festivals to bring neighbors together. Communication funds cover efforts like flyers, website hosting, printing, translation, and meeting supplies.
Eligible expenses vary by category and include items like event supplies, landscaping materials, refreshments, permits, promotional materials, and interpretation services.
Only recognized neighborhood associations in good standing in Boise are eligible to apply. The application deadline is August 31, 2025.
