The City of Bowie Arts Committee awards reimbursable grants to individuals, groups, and organizations to assist in facilitating programs that benefit Bowie residents in a variety of ways. Reimbursable grant funding may support a wide range of arts-related projects, including community dance, art, or acting classes; cultural education programs; performing or visual arts shows; and other initiatives that engage the public in creative experiences.
Funding Information
A total of $30,000 in grant funding is available for the 2025-2026 cycle and will be awarded to selected applicants through a competitive selection process.
Grant Period
October 2025 to May 31, 2026.
Eligible Activities
- Community art experiences such as dance, music, pottery, beading, drawing, painting, or acting classes
- Public workshops or performances, including plays, musicals, spoken word events, and dance showcases
- Mural, sculpture, temporary installation of public art
- Spring or winter break sessions for youth.
Eligibility Criteria
Individuals, groups, or organizations that will provide a program or project that will benefit residents of the City of Bowie may apply for the reimbursable grant. Applicants do not need to be City residents; however, programs must be conducted within the incorporated City of Bowie and must serve City residents.
