The City of Fort Wayne Community Development Division presents the following grant opportunity allowing neighborhoods to create a sense of identity and implement a branding strategy. The Neighborhood Pride Grant Program provides funding directly to selected vendors for neighborhood signage and where necessary, neighborhood branding projects, that create a sense of identity and pride.
What City Funds
- Metal Medallion Signage on City-owned light poles throughout the neighborhood.
- The City has developed a service agreement for the sign fabricator and installer and will assist in finding design services when necessary. Neighborhoods do not need to procure their own quotes and are not permitted to select alternative vendors.
- Brand Strategy (where needed).
- Neighborhoods are encouraged to share whatever branding files they have with the City.
- If a neighborhood does not have a existing branding, the neighborhood could also be awarded a new logo, color palette, font, tagline/motto where appropriate and the associated digital files. These items will be owned by the City, but can be used by the neighborhood for promotion of neighborhood activities.
Who can apply?
Neighborhood associations, with preference given to neighborhoods that are duly organized, meet regularly and with active bylaws and elected officers.
