This program continues its mission to assist small, street-level businesses within the City of Ithaca that are recovering from the ongoing economic effects of COVID-19.
Program Goals
The program is intended to grow sales in businesses located in the City of Ithaca by:
- activating commercial districts
- diversifying revenue streams
- enhancing collaboration between businesses
- attracting additional foot traffic with programming that attracts patrons to local businesses
- funding physical improvements that enhance the appearance/accessibility of storefronts. Ground-level, street-facing businesses impacted by the adverse effects of COVID-19 can apply for this funding earmarked for marketing, e-commerce, in-person events, cross-promotions, collaborative campaigns between businesses, improved signage, specific targeted marketing needs, and physical improvements.
Funding Categories
- There are three categories of grant funding:
- Marketing
- Physical Improvements
- Cross-Promotion Collaboration Campaigns.
- Initially, each eligible business may apply to either Marketing or Physical Improvements. There are no limits on the number of Cross-Promotion Collaboration Campaigns for which a business can apply. If funding remains after an initial round of grants, a business which receives funds in one of the categories may be eligible to reapply for a second grant in a different category.
