The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program provides annual grants on a formula basis to states, cities, and counties to carry out a wide range of activities such as revitalizing neighborhoods, economic development, and providing improved community facilities and services, principally for low- and moderate-income persons.
This is a competitive application and not all requests will make it to the next step to be included in the City’s CDBG request to Nassau County. Project competitiveness, City priorities, and CDBG funding levels will determine the number of projects that move forward and their funding amounts. All grant awards through this application are ultimately determined by Nassau County.
