Types of Grants 

  • Neighborhood Community Engagement Grant
    • For connecting neighbors, building community, and improving communication between residents.
  • Neighborhood Beautification & Improvement Grant
    • For physical projects that improve the quality and sustainability of the neighborhood while creating healthy and safe living conditions for residents.

  • Neighborhood Community Engagement Grant: Up to $2000 per grant awarded.
  • Neighborhood Beautification & Improvement Grant: Up to $4000 per grant awarded.

  • Neighborhood Community Engagement Grant
    • Eligible activities include but are not limited to…
      • Neighborhood block parties, ice cream socials, BBQs, move nights, music events, sporting event watch parties, etc.
      • Community art programs, sports leagues, Boy/Girl Scouts, and other community programs.
      • Training sessions such as: health, job readiness, CPR, fire safety, or computer training.
      • Neighborhood organizing activities, event signage, printing costs for a resident directory.
  • Neighborhood Beautification & Improvement Grant
    • Eligible projects include but are not limited to…
      • Community gardens
      • Neighborhood clean ups
      • Sidewalk repair or additions
      • Rain gardens
      • Landscaping
      • Neighborhood Park elements
      • Neighborhood landscaping
      • Neighborhood identity signage.

Eligibility Criteria 

  • Neighborhood must be registered with the City through the Neighborhood Registration Program.
  • Project must benefit the entire neighborhood
  • The improvements must be accomplishable within a one-year time frame.
