The City of Portland’s Sustainability Office is offering Neighborhood Mini Grants to help fund community-driven projects that promote social connection, sustainability, and resilience. The grants, up to $500, are designed to support projects, events, and initiatives that encourage collaboration among neighbors and strengthen social bonds. These efforts aim to build resilience and help communities prepare for and recover from emergencies, natural disasters, and extreme weather.
The goal is to foster closer-knit communities, promote equity and self-sufficiency, and encourage environmental stewardship at the neighborhood level. The grants must be used for projects that can be completed within 90 days of receiving the funds. To apply, teams of at least three Portland residents or neighborhood groups need to submit a Google Form application. The deadline for applications is August 30, 2025.
