Objective
The City of Santa Rosa Community Promotions Event Support Program is an application and award process for event support, with a primary goal of fostering events that enhance community culture and/or provide a community service.
Grant Period
July 1, 2026- June 30, 2027.
Eligibility Criteria
- Events must take place in Santa Rosa City limits.
- Event Support amounts are determined by how well the event addresses program guidelines, eligibility, and funding availability year to year.
- Applying organizations must be a registered non profit.
- To qualify for Community Promotions funding events must develop community culture and/or provide a community service. These events must be free to attend. This is funded by the City of Santa Rosa.
Guidelines
- Event Support funds are to primarily be used for city services (such as police, traffic control, permit fees) that are needed to support event. Additional funds received may be used for venue fees, advertising, event marketing, talent, supplies.
- Event Support funds cannot be used for the organization’s staff/employee wages, administration support or labor.
- Organizations receiving support must submit a completed W9 prior to disbursement of funds.
- Event Support funds are issued through reimbursement only up to the amount awarded.
- Event Support funds should not be the sole source of funding for the event.
- A Post-Event Report is due no later than 30 days following the supported event, and must include information on attendance, how funds were used, in what way the event provided a community service, and/or developed community culture. Receipts must be provided.
- All events receiving funding are required to meet state, local and federal requirements, including any insurance, licensing, permits, certificates, etc.
