The Youth Mini-Grants are a grant funding opportunity awarded to charitable and nonprofit organizations in the City of Ypsilanti that benefit its residents. The conditions that a nonprofit must meet for support consideration and approval are that the organization must meet the definition of a nonprofit, provide recreation, cultural, or community service to a significant proportion of city residents that the city does not otherwise provide, demonstrate revenue-generating capability for the program or indicates that it has exhausted other potential avenues for funding for the service or event, demonstrates collaboration with other local organizations in sharing resources, organizations that receive funding are required to acknowledge the support on any promotion material for the event, service, or activity, etc., activities must be limited to youth (age 14-24).
This policy is established in effort to provide fair and equitable grant funding to charitable and nonprofit organizations in the city of Ypsilanti and to provide procedures to apply for and receive funding of non-profit/charitable groups, events, services, and programs that benefit residents in the City of Ypsilanti.
