Grant amounts range from $10,000 to $100,000, with typical grants between $5,000 and $50,000 lasting about one year. The application deadline is August 1, 2025.
The foundation prioritizes projects focused on regenerative and organic farming, promoting climate-resilient and equitable agricultural practices. It supports efforts to improve the health and safety of food production workers, ensuring just and empowering working conditions. Climate justice initiatives that build resilience in marginalized communities are also a key focus.
Additionally, the foundation funds work advancing healthy food access by making sustainably produced food affordable and culturally appropriate. It encourages solutions that expand inclusive outdoor access to safe spaces for physical and mental health. Projects that prevent pollution and reduce exposure to toxics in air, water, soil, and materials are also supported.
Priority is given to organizations that align with the foundation’s values, focus mainly on the U.S. and its territories, have strong community ties, operate with budgets under $3 million, and work at the grassroots level to create change locally, statewide, or nationally.
The foundation does not fund capital construction, deficit funding, endowments, faith-based organizations, fundraising events, individuals, government agencies, media projects, medical centers, product donations, or sponsorships.
