The CED Grant Program provides funding assistance to economic development programs and projects in Lane County that support business growth and investment as well as workforce training and business assistance services. The CED Grant Program aims to support the work of nonprofits and cities facilitate economic development efforts to attract and expand business investment, support small businesses, start-ups and emerging entrepreneurs as well as assist with workforce training.
Priority will be given to programs or projects that address one or more of the following areas of opportunity:
- Implementing workforce training fulfilling specific industry needs or trade certifications
- Facilitating industry innovation, engagement or business development
- Conducting regional business attraction, business retention, and marketing activities
- Providing business technical assistance, training or support services to entrepreneurs, start-ups and small businesses.
Funding Information
- This CED Grant Program funding opportunity has a total of $200,000 available for the 2025 grant cycle.
- Grant funding requests should be a minimum of $5,000 and shall not exceed $30,000. It is expected that funding requests will likely exceed the funding availability.
- Lane County receives an allocation of state video lottery funds that supports Community and Economic Development staff as well as other related county services. The use of lottery funds is applied to economic development programs and projects that create and retain jobs, enhance employment opportunities, increase family wage income, and provide a stable tax base.
