Details:
Micro-grants fund short-term or one-time projects, rather than ongoing operational expenses like staffing. For the purposes of this grant, “cultural arts and heritage” is understood to include theatre, music, dance, visual arts, literary arts, storytelling, or historical preservation programs.

- Support new and established cultural arts and heritage programs that serve Hillsboro residents
- Raise awareness of cultural arts and heritage programs that serve Hillsboro residents
- Foster collaboration
- Provide access to cultural arts and heritage experiences for those who are underserved, including those underserved due to age, gender, race, ethnicity, sexual identity, health status, income, lack of transportation, geographic area, or other reasons to be defined in your application
- Celebrate Hillsboro’s Sesquicentennial (150th anniversary) in 2026
Project Period
June 1, 2026 – May 30, 2027.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for a Micro-grant, an organization or individual must:
- Apply for a grant that specifically addresses one or more of the goals on page one of this document.
- Provide a Tax Identification Number (TIN)
- Apply for cultural arts and heritage events or activities in Hillsboro.
- Complete the budget form for the proposed project
- Provide a roster of Board Members, if any
- Provide a list of confirmed project partners, if any, with contact information and roles identified.
