The RFP seeks to support community-driven approaches that reflect the unique needs, strengths, experiences, and values of the populations served. Priority will be given to proposals that offer alternatives to traditional behavioral health models, particularly those rooted in culturally grounded, community-defined healing practices.
Funding Information
- Up to 14 agencies will be awarded, with an average award of $150,000 per organization for the entire funding period of 24 months.
- January 1, 2026 – December 31, 2027.
Eligibility Criteria
- MIDD initiative SI-01 Community Driven Grants is specifically intended to support Small Organizations and coalitions that provide culturally and/or linguistically responsive behavioral health services to BIPOC, low-income, immigrant, refugee and/or LGBTQI+ community members.
- In keeping with the initiative’s goals, this request is open to small local Community-Based Organizations and grassroots coalitions that are not-for-profit organizations (defined as an organization that is described in section 503(c)(3) of Title 6 and is exempt from taxation under 501(a) of such title), Indian tribal government and Indian tribal organizations that provide culturally and linguistically-appropriate behavioral health and/or substance use services to BIPOC, low-income, immigrant, refugee and/or LGBTQ+ communities in King County.
