The District of Columbia Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) is inviting applications from qualified organizations for its Community Outreach and Improving Patient Engagement and Whole Person Care at Opioid Treatment Programs (OTP) initiative. This grant opportunity is designed to strengthen patient care and engagement within OTPs.
The initiative focuses on conducting community outreach and implementing strategies that support whole person care. The goal is to improve patient engagement, promote retention, and enhance overall wellness for individuals receiving opioid treatment. These strategies are also expected to reduce barriers to treatment access, reconnect with patients who have prematurely left treatment, and provide ongoing support for those currently enrolled.
DBH has made $150,000 available for this initiative during the final two months of fiscal year 2025. The maximum award per grantee is $50,000.
To be eligible, applicants must be certified Opioid Treatment Programs physically located and actively operating within the District of Columbia. The application deadline for this grant is July 18, 2025.
