The Dane G. Hansen Foundation is accepting applications for its Community Grant Fund to support initiatives that improve the quality of life in 26 counties of Northwest Kansas. In partnership with the Greater Salina Community Foundation (GSCF) and the Greater Northwest Kansas Community Foundation (GNWKCF), the foundation seeks to fund projects that positively impact local communities.
The foundation’s funding priorities include education, healthcare, community social services, conservation, arts and culture, and community beautification. The goal is to enhance educational opportunities, ensure access to healthcare, support social services, protect the environment, and promote arts and culture. Community beautification efforts are also encouraged to improve public spaces and foster community pride.
Grants will be awarded to nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and government entities. Religious organizations and individuals who do not meet these criteria may partner with a fiscal agent to apply. Preference will be given to projects that engage the community and encourage volunteerism.
Applications are open to organizations within the geographic areas served by the foundation, and all applicants must meet the eligibility requirements to be considered for funding.
