Focus Areas
The Foundation funds programs and projects that directly impact low-income and vulnerable older adults and their caregivers in the following areas:
- Food insecurity
- Home-based care services
- Respite and support services for spouses/relatives caring for older adults at home
- Safety, security and elder abuse
- Social work/Case management
- Transportation for older adults, caregivers, or home health aides
Types of Grants
The Foundation will consider proposals for the following types of grants:
- Small Grants, up to $15,000
- Project/program creation, expansion, and/or support
- Minor capital improvement projects
- Full Grants
- Project/program creation, expansion, and/or support
- Grants for more than $50,000 can be considered for exceptional programs based on the merits of the proposal and must be discussed with the Foundation prior to submitting an LOI.
- Larger Grants, larger than $15,000
Geographical Area
The Foundation considers funding requests for projects and programs only in geographical area of Dutchess, Putnam, and Westchester Counties, NY.
Eligibility Criteria
Non-profits and government agencies that meet focus and geographical areas also need to have:
- An annual operating budget of $1 million or more
- A full time, paid executive director
- A history of providing direct services to older adults and/or their caregivers in geographical area, or have an interest in expanding a program to the area
