The Flint Hills Community Fund will be used to provide support for: funding research or programs for students diagnosed with dyslexia or reading challenges.
General Guidelines
- The grants do not support other fundraising projects.
- The grants do not support entities that have taxing authority except for specific one-time special projects that are innovative and above the basic services provided by those entities.
- The grants do not support annual drives or repetitive grants.
- The grants are not available for individuals.
- The grants are not available for funding personnel positions or operating expenses.
- Projects with a high degree of volunteerism will be given extra consideration.
- The grants do not fund multiple year grants or pledges.
- Matches in dollars and/or volunteer hours are good, but not mandatory.
- Strong consideration will be given to organizations that want to expand their operations; however, already have sufficient operating income and/or other funds.
