Four County Community Foundation gives priority consideration to the following:
- Projects not adequately served by existing community resources
- Projects which provide incentive for generating other funds and community resources
- Projects which facilitate cooperation and collaboration between organizations

Four County Community Foundation provides services to non-profit organizations, schools, and governmental agencies located in:
- Lapeer County (MI): Almont, Attica, Dryden, Imlay City and Richmond
- Macomb County (MI): Armada, Bruce, Ray, Richmond, Shelby and Washington
- Oakland County (MI): Addison, Brandon, Oakland, Orion and Oxford
- Clair County (MI): Berlin, Emmett, Mussey and Riley
Grant Guidelines
Four County Community Foundation’s Grant Review Committees and Board of Trustees will be guided by the following general policies and considerations:
- The Foundation provides grants to individuals through designated scholarship funds and to eligible, IRS tax-exempt organizations, schools, and governmental agencies operating in the Four County Community Foundation service area
- Grants will be made to support progressive ideas in education, health, and community, including youth and adult programs
- Grants will not be made for sectarian religious programs
- Grants will not normally be made for operating budgets, wages, or for basic educational or municipal functions
- Grants will not be made for projects which have already been completed.
