For the 2025 Program Year, this equals $109,880.41 in CHDO funds.
Eligibility Criteria
- Organizations must be a certified CHDO with the City of Kalamazoo to be eligible for this funding. If you are not certified, you must submit a CHDO application by June 20, 2025.
- Organizations must be located in the City of Kalamazoo or provide services within the city. Activities that occur outside city limits are not eligible for funding.
- Support of affordable housing must relate directly to the organization’s core mission.
- The organization must have a Unique Entity ID (UEI) and not be debarred from receiving federal funds.
- Proposals will only be accepted from organizations who attended the MANDATORY virtual RFP meeting scheduled for June 18, 2025 at 10:00 am.
- Proposals must be typed and provided in the manner outlined in this Request.
- Incomplete proposals will not be considered. All mandatory documents must be provided for the Proposal to be considered complete.
- Once submitted, no Proposal can be amended unless a change or addendum is issued in relation to this RFP by the city.
- The city reserves the right to contact an applicant for clarification on their Proposal.
- All certifications provided with the RFP must be signed and returned with the proposal.
- Subrecipients or developers that have unresolved affordability period monitoring concerns or have been found to be in noncompliance with any federal, state, or local grant or loan program requirements within the last three years shall be ineligible for funding.
