The Futrell-Mauldin Community Foundation for Greater Rocky Mount, an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation, is currently accepting grant applications from charitable organizations serving the Rocky Mount community.
These community grants support a wide range of needs including human services, education, youth development, health, food and nutrition, arts, and more. The aim is to address key local priorities and enhance the overall quality of life in the area.
Grant awards typically range from $500 to $7,500, with a maximum size of $10,000. There is no specified grant duration.
Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charities registered with the IRS, as well as those operating with a qualified fiscal sponsor. Local government entities such as public schools and departments like fire and rescue are also eligible to apply.
Religious organizations may seek funding for charitable outreach programs that benefit the wider community, but not for general operating support or religious-specific activities.
Applicants must serve counties within the foundation’s affiliate network, and those operating in multiple counties must submit separate applications for each. All organizations must provide programs without discrimination based on age, race, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, political affiliation, or religious belief.
The application deadline is August 12, 2025.
