The Youth Bureaus in Warren and Washington counties are now accepting applications for grant funding to support youth sports programs. These grants aim to expand access to sports opportunities for young people under the age of 18 in both counties.
The funding is provided by the New York State Office of Children & Family Services (OCFS), with a deadline to apply set for September 1, 2025. Each organization may request up to $7,000 for program operations taking place between October 1, 2025, and September 30, 2026.
Applications will be reviewed by Youth Bureau staff from both counties, as well as the Washington County Youth Board and the Warren County Youth Board. Reviewers will assess proposals based on cost-effectiveness, overall impact, and clear, measurable outcomes.
Programs that serve a broad range of youth from various age groups and geographic areas will be prioritized. Warren County contracts with Washington County for youth bureau services, ensuring collaboration across both regions for the grant evaluation process.
