This program is designed to improve the City’s overall quality of life and to beautify the community by providing financial assistance to eligible households to undertake specific exterior / interior home improvements and repairs.
Since the program’s launch, 11 households have already benefited from the funding, completing much-needed projects such as bathroom renovations, roof repairs, tree removal, and exterior improvements. These projects have not only enhanced the living conditions of individual households but have also contributed to the overall beautification and safety of the community.

As part of this commitment, the City launched its Home Repair Program in 2023, offering grants of up to $7,500 to assist eligible households with essential home repairs and improvements.
Eligible Repairs
The Home Repair Program is available to qualified households that meet the eligibility requirements. The program aims to address essential home repairs that improve both the safety and functionality of homes. Examples of eligible repairs include:
- Roof & siding
- Chimney
- Windows & doors
- Sidewalks & driveways
- Floors, steps, porches, bathrooms, kitchens, and more
- Accessibility-related repairs, such as ramps and handrails
- Foundation and structural work, including waterproofing
- Tree removal and replacement
- Bamboo removal
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the City’s program, an applicant must:
- Be a homeowner within the City’s legal limits.
- Currently occupy the home for which you are applying.
- Not have any past due real property tax obligations on the property.
- Intend to remain in the home for a minimum of three years post-work completion.
- Provide proof of homeownership and current homeowners’ insurance coverage.
- Have a demonstrable need for improvements and repairs.
