The Greater Cabarrus Foundation is now accepting grant applications to support agencies working to address critical needs in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. This opportunity aims to enhance quality of life by providing financial resources and fostering collaboration among local nonprofits and community initiatives.
The foundation focuses on funding efforts that address key social determinants of health as identified in the Cabarrus Health Alliance/Healthy Cabarrus Community Needs Assessment. The grants are also intended to strengthen organizations’ operational sustainability.
There are two main types of grants available. The Greatest Community Needs Grants are funded by the Greater Good Society Fund and are designed to support projects that respond directly to the county’s most urgent challenges. Field of Interest Grants are funded through various donor-designated funds and target agencies working in specific service areas.
Eligible focus areas include housing and homelessness, food security and nutrition, healthcare, early childhood education, and employment and training. Agencies applying must be registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits and must provide services within Cabarrus County.
The deadline to apply for these grants is September 1, 2025.
