The HealthEquity Community Foundation is committed to being a role model and advocate for social stewardship in the communities.
The HealthEquity Community Foundation is committed to supporting 501(c)(3) organizations that align with the four core areas.
- Mental health and crisis intervention
- Mental health is a cornerstone to wellness in both the community and in the workforce. They believe in supporting a community’s access to mental health care and crisis response.
- Financial education and literacy
- Equitable access to healthcare
- The transformative approach to healthcare allows us to use the skills, products, and services to directly address the inequities in healthcare access and self-advocacy. Both individuals and under-resourced communities can benefit from true health equity.
- Basic human needs
- Thriving communities help their members reach higher personal and collective achievement when they meet basic human needs for safety, access to housing, and food security.

Eligibility Criteria
The following standards are guidelines for philanthropic giving under the HealthEquity Community Foundation:
- Receiving organization must be a charitable non-profit with 501(c)(3) tax exempt status
- Receiving charitable non-profit must be in good financial standing. The HealthEquity Community Foundation will review the overall financial support of an organization as a factor in the funding decision
- The organization must directly provide need-based services
- The HealthEquity Community Foundation must and will provide payment directly to receiving organizations
- Foundation grants and qualifying contributions are limited to one (1) gift for non-profit organizations, per fiscal year (ends January 31). If funding is desired in the new fiscal year, a new application must be submitted
- Disaster relief eligibility is dependent on meeting criteria in alignment with the IRS designation of a qualified disaster.
