Funding Information

Cleanup projects include the collection, removal, transportation, recycling, and disposal of California waste tires from illegal tire piles and areas where illegal dumping has occurred along public rights-of-way. Sites can be located on private or public property.
Eligibility Criteria
- Local governments (cities, counties, or cities and counties) as defined in PRC section 48617.
- Special districts
- Joint Powers Authorities (JPA) as an eligible entity (where all of the participating entities are otherwise eligible).
- Qualifying Tribal Entities. – A “Qualifying Tribal Entity” is defined as a California Native American Tribe, residing within the borders of California, which:
- Is recognized for special programs and services provided by the United States because of the status of its members as Native Americans; or
- Can establish that it is a government entity, and which meets the criteria of the grant program.
