Cobb Community Foundation is inviting applications for the 2025 Match Magic Grant, designed to activate good by mobilizing people, ideas, and resources to improve life in and around Cobb County. This grant supports local organizations in boosting their year-end fundraising efforts during the holiday season.
The Match Magic campaign targets 20-30 selected Cobb organizations to leverage the spirit of giving around the holidays, including key events like Giving Tuesday and GA Gives. Participating groups benefit from Cobb Community Foundation’s extensive marketing investment, training on storytelling, and access to a match pool with a goal of $200,000.
Promotions supporting the campaign include a dedicated Match Magic Giving Portal on the CCF website, unique donation links for each organization, paid social media ads, and distribution of a printed guide to over 5,700 Marietta Daily Journal subscribers. Additional outreach involves media coverage, emails to 8,000 CCF newsletter subscribers, mailed guides to 1,000 donors and stakeholders, and promotion through CCF’s social media platforms.
To be eligible, organizations must serve Cobb County or its residents and be registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with the IRS before July 9, 2024. They must also be registered with the Georgia Secretary of State. Applications via fiscal sponsors are accepted if the applicant nonprofit began operations before that date. Faith-based groups can apply if their activities are non-proselytizing.
Individual public schools cannot apply, but district-wide programs supporting an entire school system can. Individual schools with their own EIN are eligible. Government entities may apply if funds are used for charitable purposes. Only one application per EIN number will be accepted. The application deadline is July 30, 2025.
