Goals
- Support establishment and implementation of an active state information sharing program as directed in the Ashanti Alert Act.
- Increase the ability of state, tribal, and territorial agencies to electronically share missing and endangered person information with the intent to assist in locating these individuals.
Objectives
- Increase knowledge of the National Ashanti Alert Network for state, local, territorial, and tribal (SLTT) missing and endangered persons programs with the intention to have them either participate in the Ashanti pilot program or submit an Ashanti Alert Plan to BJA.
- Increase knowledge about the Ashanti Alert Act and the National Ashanti Alert Network across the SLTT programs and communities.
- Provide high quality, cost-effective TTA to SLTT jurisdictions to increase and improve information sharing of missing and endangered adults pursuant to the National Ashanti Alert Network.
- Manage the Ashanti Advisory Committee and the Ashanti Stakeholder Working Group.
