The Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) provides grant money to 329 Local Cultural Councils serving all cities and towns in the Commonwealth. This year the MCC will spend over $5.5 million in support of public projects.
Funding must be allocated in support of Cultural District activities and goals and at the direction of the Newburyport Cultural Council. In accordance with these requirements, funding expenditures will be unrestricted. encourage projects or programs that institute a practice of community engagement and are in alignment with Cultural District’s audience and mission. Funding must be spent or encumbered within the current fiscal year ending on June 30, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria
The City of Newburyport invites local cultural organizations to apply for funding for projects, events, consultants, marketing services, and more.
