The Eastern Band of Cherokees Community Foundation is currently accepting applications from charitable organizations that serve tribal members in Swain, Jackson, Cherokee, Graham, and Haywood counties in North Carolina.
This grant program supports a wide range of community needs, including human services, education, youth development, health, food and nutrition, arts, and other locally driven priorities.
Grant awards typically range from $500 to $1,000. While the grant duration is not specified, the funding is intended to support impactful programs serving the designated counties.
Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charities registered with the IRS, organizations working with a qualified fiscal sponsor, local government agencies such as public schools, and fire and rescue departments.
Faith-based organizations are eligible to apply if the proposed project is a social outreach or charitable service program that benefits the wider community, rather than supporting religious activities or general operations.
Only organizations serving counties within the foundation’s affiliate network are eligible. Organizations that serve more than one county within the network may submit separate applications for each applicable county.
Applicants must provide services without discrimination based on age, race, gender, ethnicity, disability, national origin, sexual orientation, political views, or religious beliefs.
The application deadline is August 12, 2025.
