Salina Arts & Humanities is now accepting applications for its Organizational Project Grant Program. This program supports cultural development projects in Saline County, Kansas. Grants range from $1,000 to $10,000 and are intended for projects lasting less than one year. The application deadline is November 1, 2025.
The Horizons Grants Program, created in 1985, is funded by private individuals and businesses committed to enhancing the community’s cultural life. Grants are managed by Salina Arts & Humanities staff and approved by the Salina Arts & Humanities Foundation, a separate 501(c)3 board that sets the annual budget and reviews recommendations.
Funded projects are expected to reflect artistic excellence, involve the community, and foster innovation. Applicants should also aim to build strategic partnerships that expand the impact of their activities.
Organizations may submit up to two applications, but total funding cannot exceed $6,000. Projects must occur between February 1 and November 30.
Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations and local government units located in Saline County. Nonprofits must be incorporated and have tax-exempt status from the IRS. All applicants must comply with federal and state non-discrimination laws.
Unincorporated groups are encouraged to develop projects, but they must partner with an eligible organization to apply on their behalf and act as fiscal agent. Salina Arts & Humanities staff are available to help connect groups with suitable fiscal partners.
