Details:
Programming support is defined as a grant made for a new or existing specific segment of an organization’s work that services one or more towns in the Community Foundations’ region.
- One-year and multi-year grants
- Grants are available for terms of one, two or three years.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must serve people within the Community Foundation twenty-town region and meet The Foundation’s minimum eligibility requirements. Organizations with a current Responsive grant that ends later than Dec. 31, 2026 may not apply.
- To be eligible for a program grant, organizations must also meet the following criteria:
- Mission focused on advocacy, community organizing, civic engagement,
and/or journalism. - At least 15% of the population served must reside in the 20-town region served by
the Foundations. - A minimum of two years continuous active programming under a 501c3
designation or a fiscal sponsor. - An operating budget of $250,000 or more.
- Applicants with a fiscal sponsor must have an independent local advisory board or
board of directors. - Applicants who have received a grant from either The Community Foundation or the
- Valley Community Foundation in the previous four years must be up to date with all
reporting requirements. - Applicants have not also applied for a Small Grant from The Community Foundation
in 2026.
