The goal of this Request for Applications (RFA) is to implement creative, effective year-round technical skills training: pre-apprenticeship, apprenticeship, and professional training, These will help with industry-relevant certifications in the electrical, green building energy, and related fields. Applicants will help place program participants in these high-demand jobs and/or other advanced training opportunities.
The purpose of this grant is to (1) increase technical skills, create training and professional development opportunities, and place District residents in clean energy and related jobs; and (2) increase the related local workforce. DOEE intends to fund one or more grantees.
Funding Information
The amount available for the project is $1,200,000.
Eligibility Criteria
The institutions below may apply for these grant funds:
- Nonprofit organizations, including those with IRS 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) determinations;
- Faith-based organizations;
- Universities/educational institutional; and
- Private Enterprises.
