The purpose of this funding is to build and sustain a coalition of immunization stakeholders to promote vaccination of the District’s residents. The coalition’s work should complement the efforts of DC Health to achieve recommended vaccination levels among all District populations and to promote vaccination through an established medical home. To do so, work should center on the following:
- Educating the provider and consumer communities about vaccine preventable diseases (VPDs), the District’s school vaccination requirements, and child and adult vaccination best practices;
- Building partnerships among immunization stakeholders to help align immunization related messaging, efforts, and initiatives in the District;
- Facilitating communication between immunization stakeholders and the Department of Health;
- Researching disseminating, and advocating evidence-based immunizations policies and practices; and
- Identifying and addressing barriers to and opportunities for achieving recommended vaccination rates in the District.

Eligibility Criteria
Eligible organizations/entities who can apply for grant funds under this funding opportunity are established not-for-profit organizations based, located, and licensed to conduct business within the District of Columbia.
