The goal of this Request for Applications (RFA) is to enhance the District’s natural environment, increase climate resiliency for the benefit of District residents and wildlife, and improve water quality along the Anacostia River corridor.
The purpose of this grant is to enhance 11 acres of tidal wetlands in the Chesapeake watershed by protecting and improving wetland functions, improving the visitor experience, and increasing community engagement.

The amount available for the project is $299,540.
Project Period
The project period will be for three (3) years.

The institutions below may apply for these grant funds:
- Nonprofit organizations, including those with IRS 501(c)(3);
- Faith-based organizations;
- Government agencies;
- Universities/educational institutions; and
- Private Enterprises.
