The New Mexico Health Care Authority (HCA) is now accepting applications for the Rural Healthcare Delivery Fund (RHCDF) to support rural health care providers and facilities. This grant aims to improve access to quality primary care services in rural communities across New Mexico.
With over $20 million available, funding supports operational costs, personnel, equipment, and start-up expenses for projects that create or expand primary care services. Eligible applicants include licensed rural health care facilities and providers operating in counties with populations under 100,000, as defined by the 2023 census.
Applicants must be active Medicaid providers serving Medicaid recipients and meet all state licensing requirements. The grant covers a project period from January 1, 2026, to June 30, 2028, with awards generally spanning three years.
The focus is on providing integrated, accessible, and team-based care that improves health outcomes, quality, and cost efficiency in underserved rural areas.
The application deadline is August 15, 2025.
