The Stanley Area Community Foundation is now accepting grant applications for projects that support the Stanley area in North Dakota. As an affiliate of the North Dakota Community Foundation, it aims to strengthen local nonprofits and community initiatives.
The foundation was created by local residents concerned about the limited funding available for community organizations. It focuses on supporting projects that create meaningful and lasting benefits for the area.
High priority will be given to proposals that impact a larger number of residents and show a commitment to securing additional funding from other sources. These factors help ensure projects are both broad in reach and financially sustainable.
Lower priority is given to requests for daily operating expenses or multi-year funding, as the foundation prioritizes direct impact projects over routine overhead.
To be eligible, applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations or government agencies serving Stanley and nearby communities. Religious organizations may apply, but only for non-denominational projects that benefit the broader community.
Applications are due by September 29, 2025, although the Advisory Committee may choose to extend the deadline.
