Details:

With an investment of up to $150 million, TSET is funding large-scale, transformational projects that will improve rural health, healthcare access, prevention and data-driven solutions across the state.

The TSET Legacy Grant is more than just funding—it’s an investment in Oklahoma’s future. By supporting projects that tackle the root causes of chronic disease, they are helping to build a healthier, stronger state for generations to come.

This initiative will have broad, lasting impact, particularly in rural and underserved communities, and will help drive data-informed solutions to improve health outcomes statewide.

All applications must be related to one of the TSET mandated purposes as defined in Article 10, Section 40 of the Oklahoma Constitution:

  • Tobacco Prevention and Cessation: Cost-effective strategies to prevent and reduce tobacco use.
  • Health Improvement: Programs designed to maintain or improve the health of Oklahomans or to enhance the provision of health care services to Oklahomans, with a particular emphasis on programs for children.
  • Children: Programs and services for the benefit of Oklahoma children, with particular emphasis on common and higher education, before- and after-school and preschool programs, substance use prevention and treatment programs, and other programs and services designed to improve the health and quality of life of children.
  • Older Adults: Programs and services designed to enhance the health and well-being of Oklahoma older adults.

TSET is seeking grants which will make major health impacts for Oklahomans in areas such as:

  • Rural Health
  • Healthcare Access improvement
  • Data Gaps
  • Early Prevention
  • Quality of Life Improvements.

Funding Information

  • The TSET Legacy Grant has a total pool of up to $150 million.
  • TSET Legacy Grants will have a minimum requirement on applications of at least a $3 million per project. Grants will be paid on a reimbursement basis.

Grant Period

Projects must be a minimum of 1 year and may not exceed 3 years in duration.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Public institutions of higher education (research and regional universities and colleges.)
  • State agencies
  • Not-for profit organizations
  • Public entities such as county/local government, public school districts.
  • Tribal entities.
