The purpose of the grant program is to is to support organizations serving older adults with lower incomes are navigating unprecedented change. Shifts in critical safety-net programs and funding sources, rising costs of care, and increasing impacts of extreme weather all make it more difficult for older adults to maintain access to stable housing, nutritious food, energy, healthcare, and essential services.
This funding opportunity aims to provide flexible support to affordable housing organizations and past Enterprise Thome Aging Well grantees to respond to the urgent or emerging needs of their residents or clients with effective solutions. Eligible organizations must serve older adults (aged 55 and older) with lower incomes living in Michigan and Maryland.
Funding Information
Up to $200,000.
Project Period
Grants will have a one-year period of performance.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible applicants include:
- Nonprofit affordable housing providers or community development corporations
- Tribal Housing Authorities, Tribal Designated Housing Entities, or community-based organization serving Tribal communities through housing-based programs
- Previous Enterprise Thome Aging Well grantees
The grant funds must be used to serve older adults, aged 55 and over, living in Maryland or Michigan with household incomes at or below 80% area median income.
Organizations strongly encourage organizations serving individuals or communities that have experienced or continue to experience health inequities to apply.
