Details:
Eligible projects must address a community’s exposure to multiple environmental harms and risks and include a new research component that will be used to expand the knowledge of the affected community.
Funding Information
- Approximately $5,900,000 is available for Community Impact Grants
- Minimum grant amount is $50,000; Maximum grant amount is $200,000.
Grant Period
All projects must have defined Objectives, Tasks, and deliverables accounted for in Performance Measures that can be completed and invoiced within 36-month contract period/term and will have a contract term of October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2028.
Eligibility Criteria
For the purposes of this grant program, applicants must be either be a:
- A not-for-profit corporation (NFP) community-based organization. For this grant opportunity, a NFP is subject to New York State’s Not-For-Profit Corporation Law, is qualified for tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Federal Internal Revenue Code, has an IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter to be incorporated in New York State and is current in their charities reporting requirements with the Office of the Attorney General
- A Tribal Organization recognized by the State or the United States with a reservation wholly or partly sharing geography with New York State.
