Neighborhoods and businesses are faced with a growing need for readily available resources throughout the year and especially around extreme weather events (e.g., heat, flooding, and other hazards that interrupt daily life and impact safety). There is a need to establish and support climate resilience hubs to engage community members in programming on climate change, sustainability, and emergency preparedness. Resilience hubs offer targeted support during local climate-related events, helping Prince Georgians recover more quickly and safely while fostering community support as a key step toward greater resilience. Climate resilience hubs must be tailored to specific local needs, easy to access, and provided through trusted mechanisms. They seeks community-based organizations that can provide these needed services by developing climate resilience hubs.
