The Alabama Council on Developmental Disabilities (ACDD) is offering funds to support public awareness activities that promote the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in all community aspects. The goal is to provide information on key issues impacting individuals with developmental disabilities and to further the mission of the Council.
The ACDD is seeking proposals from organizations experienced in communications, marketing, advertising, media consulting, and public relations. These organizations will be responsible for providing services to help develop and implement the public awareness activities outlined by the Council. Activities include website updates, hosting, accessibility, and maintenance, as well as photography for the website. The Council needs headshots for up to 40 staff and Council members.
Other tasks include managing the Council’s social media accounts (Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram) and developing content, such as graphics, for these platforms. Additionally, digital advertising and publicizing the projects and initiatives of the Council and its partners through various media channels will be required.
Respondents will also assist with technical support and the design and distribution of accessible materials like press releases, reports, flyers, and brochures. Notable examples include the design and digital distribution of the ACDD Annual Report and supporting the Five-Year State Plan with email marketing, press releases, and other public awareness activities.
The Council is open to new ideas from applicants for additional activities to help achieve its goals. Respondents will also provide analytics related to the success of these public awareness activities.
Funding for the project can reach up to $50,000, and the grant period spans from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026.
