The Rural Utilities Service (RUS), a mission area of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), is inviting applications for grants under the Revolving Funds for Financing Water and Wastewater Projects Program for Fiscal Year 2025.
This grant opportunity is open to qualified private, non-profit entities. The purpose of the funding is to capitalize revolving funds that provide financing to eligible entities. These funds cover pre-development costs for proposed water and wastewater projects or existing systems. Additionally, grants can cover short-term expenses such as replacement equipment, small-scale service extensions, or other minor capital projects that are not part of the routine operations and maintenance of water and wastewater systems.
For FY 2025, approximately $1,000,000 is available through this program. Grants range from $500,000 to $1 million, with a grant period running from October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026.
Applicants must be private, non-profit organizations to qualify for funding. The application deadline is August 7, 2025.
