Details:

VISION Arts is a grant funding program that celebrates Tulsa’s arts and culture industry, especially as a catalyst for economic development. The specific purpose of the VISION Arts is to provide dedicated, ongoing engagement with the City’s creative communities and fund programs or projects that support economic growth in Tulsa.

The City of Tulsa supports artists and arts organizations across all media, including Percent for Art commissions, annual grants for local arts organizations via Vision Arts, neighborhood-level placemaking and placekeeping, technical assistance workshops, and partnerships that enhance public places.

Vision Arts focuses on local arts organizations by providing funding for projects or programs defined by those organizations.

Program Goals

  • Promote visibility and awareness of Tulsa’s creative ecosystem
  • Contribute to increased visitor and tourism activity
  • Promote Tulsa’s arts and cultural assets as key components of the city’s identity
  • Strengthen economic development by directly supporting arts organizations and emphasizing artist-led projects.

Priorities

  • Fund events, programs, and festivals that attract broad audiences of locals and tourists
  • Build and diversify arts audiences from research and marketing strategies
  • Increase access to cultural attractions and events
  • Highlight local destinations where arts projects or programs create a unique sense of place
  • Draw on arts and culture to engage communities and address civic challenges
  • Create engaging content for multimedia that tells Tulsa’s story.

Grant Period

July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026.

This broad interpretation includes collectors, presenters, stewards, and interpreters of visual art, theatre, dance, music, world languages, archeology, history, cultural anthropology, folklore, and philosophy.
