The Western Suburbs Giving Circle of Chicago Foundation for Women (WSGC) is a group of Cook County and DuPage County women who combine their funds to address the needs of women and girls in the western suburbs. Since its inception in 2016, WSGC has awarded over $225,000 to local organizations working with women and girls.
WSGC will be accepting applications for program or operating support in any of CFW’s three issue areas: economic security, freedom from gender-based violence, access to health.
The Foundation is interested in workforce development strategies that connect women to living wage/family supporting work with benefits, innovative plans to address the crisis in childcare and unpaid care work, community centered interventions to end gender-based violence, approaches to increase access to care (mental, physical and reproductive services) and improve Black maternal health, or defenses against the attacks on the array of reproductive health services particularly abortion access.
Funding Information
- Grants will range from $5,000 to $15,000
- Funds awarded are a one-year grant for work being done between July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
- Organizations must be a 501c3 or have a fiscal agent with a 501c3
- Operating budget of $3 million or less
- Primary service area is in the western suburbs.
