This grant is an opportunity for nonprofit organizations partnering with K-12 public schools, early childhood centers, and post-secondary support settings to improve social emotional and academic outcomes for youth. As schools and early childhood centers face difficult funding decisions with current and forecasted budget cuts and the unexpected expenses from ongoing tornado relief efforts, the purpose of the grant is to allow established programs with proven success to continue their support of the re- gions’ schools and students while positively impacting students’ social emotional and academic outcomes.
Funding Information
Grants will range from $15,000 – $25,000 with between 5-7 awarded.
Uses of Fund
- Staffing, program materials, evaluation efforts, training, or other costs for successful, evidence-based programs with established school partners
- The expansion of an existing program or initiative, provided that the program is focused on improving student academic and/or social-emotional outcomes, and that expansion is data-driven and/or evidence based.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a registered nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) status
- Have an established partnership of at least one year with a local ECE center and/or K-12 public school where programming will occur; (MOU, letter of commitment, or equivalent documentation required).
- Be proposing continued funding for an existing program, not a new initiative.
- Able to demonstrate program effectiveness to date (outcome data, qualitative feedback, testimonials).
- Have the capacity and established plans to deliver programming within the 2025–2026 school year.
- Have a sustainability plan for the program beyond the use of grant funds.
