Funding Information
- NDDA has been appropriated a total of $1.5 million in grant funding to be awarded to eligible project(s).
- Grant award amounts are limited to $100,000. NDDA reserves the right to offer an award amount less than the amount requested.
Grant Period
The period of performance will begin approximately May 5, 2025, and end June 30, 2027.
Eligible Expenses
Grant funds may be used for the following infrastructure-related expenses:
- Construction or renovation of permanent structures (e.g., livestock barns, exhibition halls, storage buildings)
- Electrical, plumbing, or HVAC upgrades directly related to fairgrounds or ag facilities
- ADA compliance improvements (e.g., ramps, and accessible restrooms)
- Water and sewer systems installation or upgrades
- Site preparation and groundwork (grading, gravel, paving, etc.)
- Permanent fencing or gates
- Materials and supplies necessary for construction (concrete, lumber, steel, etc.)
- Professional services directly related to infrastructure (e.g., engineering, architectural design, permitting fees).
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be a county agricultural fair association or an association that runs/manages a county fair in North Dakota.
