State: All States
County: All Counties
Type of Grant: Grant
Deadline: 04/17/2025
Size of the Grant: $100,000 to $500,000
Grant Duration: 2 Years
Details:
Program Objective
The DOE Isotope Program (DOE IP) maintains a world-leading research and development (R&D) program focused on advancing isotope science and creating innovative and more efficient isotope enrichment, production, and processing techniques. The R&D program includes advanced targetry, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), robotics, process automation, nuclear and radiochemistry, and advanced manufacturing concepts. Research, development, and fabrication of equipment directed toward research in any or a mixture of DOE IP relevant topics may be proposed. Applications including construction or major projects requiring detailed review of scope, budget, and schedule beyond the procedures for this announcement will not be considered. Applications attempting to bolster the case for facilities or major items of equipment not currently approved for funding or not expected to be available during the proposed work would be considered responsive.
Funding Information
- Award Ceiling: $1,500,000
- Award Floor: $200,000.
Grant Period
2 years.
Eligibility Criteria
The national interest in isotope production requires limiting eligibility under this NOFO to domestic organizations. The efforts in training and future workforce development are uniquely concentrated in institutions of higher education, closely associated nonprofit organizations, and DOE/NNSA National Laboratories at which undergraduate and graduate students may conduct research while enrolled in a degree-granting course of study.
